how to update tracking no without the tracking link and slug

Hello,
We want to update the tracking no only. Can we do that without the slug and tracking link, as this process is taking long time to complete.

We can redirect users to a shipping aggregator service like 17track.net and something else.

Can it be done?

Our main goal is to update the tracking no to wcoocommerce and paypal simultaneously.
