Why updates are not even for 1 year while others provide lifetime updates?

I have recently purchased this plugin. However, to my surprise the update expiry is on 30th Dec 2022 which is almost 6months from the purchase date.

Usually when we purchase products here on envato, they are set to give lifetime updates. Also, within 6 months there are hardly any updates so we are unnecessarily paying the plugin charges as within 6 months there will be hardly any updates.
