Currency is wrong in admin view

Hi,

For some reason the currency in my admin view is showing as EUR (even though the actual number amount is in Pounds). When I try to switch currencies the values change but it still says ‘EUR’ next to the amount. My default currency is set to pounds (£) and this is working in customer view (non admin View).
