email template button padding

Hi there,

I struggle finding out how we can change padding to buttons in the email customizer? Only see margin.
I add cusom css, but that also doesn’t show neither in preview nor in the test email.

Very strange, I am a bit disappointed, adding padding to buttons is basic. Maybe I just didn’t find the feature even though it is there?
Please help.
