custom email for custom orders

I have a problem, when I create a custom order state, I would like to create an email for it. I want to create the state preparing to ship, and when so, let the customer know that the product is being packed and ready to ship. What is the best way to create request states, do you have any plugins? I’m using Yith, I really need my clients to receive personalized status emails.
