Checkout Upsell Funnel

Hi, when a customer presses ‘place order’ it redirects them to another page and then lets them continue to checkout after 8 seconds.

Will it still process the order if the user leaves the website during this upsell page?

I’m worried that people might get confused and leave before the sale is processed.
