Add Custom Product

hello, is there a way to be able to save the custom added products during checkout and not have them get deleted. sometimes we need to add custom products during checkout and would like to have them saved in inventory for future sales. this would be a useful feature to have as it would save me much time. also when manually changing price during checkout can we have the difference in price calculated as a discount and shown on receipt.
