Image import and Parent product SKU’s

I’ve tried on a few occassions and I cannot get the app to import the product images, also I see on a previous thread that there should be an update from shopify option to solve this. I cannot see that that button exists on my interface or at least I cannot find it.

Again on a previous thread I have seen problems with importing products that have variations but the parent product has no SKU, I am in the same situation. I would like a rule where the parent adopts the same SKU as the first variation but with a suffix: ‘v’. eg ~123456V (parent SKU generated by app)
var.1 : 123456 (pulled from shopify)
var.2: 123457 (pulled from shopify)
var.3: 123458 (pulled from shopify)
var 3 123458

You may sense that I am not a web developer by trade! Please help…
