shopify product slug

Hello – I selected to use the Shopify product ID for variable products and also had the keep slug option toggled on.

I assumed that the slug would become the sku on non variable products but no such luck. There are no identifiers (id nor slug) on non-variable products. Therefor when I import orders, there is no product match for many orders.

Please let me know how to fix this issue
