swatches on product list and shop page not displaying

I’ve set color swatches on a couple of my items but they aren’t displaying on my homepage or shop page… only the individual product pages. When I enable the “swatches on product list it actually hides many of my products and still doesn’t show the color swatches on the products that have them… help!
