WooCommerce is one of the biggest platforms which takes up 30% of all e-commerce stores. It’s perfect for a start-up online store, someone looking for a more user-friendly option to migrate over to, and for million-dollar retailers alike. It’s filled with themes and plugins that make adding functionality to your online store as your needs and business grow easy to do. And unlike most of it’s competitors, it is free to download and use, with no monthly payments for the software.

I have used Woocommerce for 4 years to run a handmade shop online. At the beginning, my sales were not good at all though WooCommerce is always easy to use. The problem was that the shop was too simple, lack of tools that help boost sales, attract customers.

I told my story to a pen pal who also owns a shop which sells technological products. He shares me some ways to improve the shops, from the content to the design. Besides, he also sends me some links of trial plugins. I spent my whole month redesigning the websites. After that, I made some cross-marketing with my friends, and something changed at that time.

I earned more money, from hundreds of dollars to 1 thousand dollars per month in 2014. It made me feel really happy and the first thing I did was sharing what I did to John( my penpal’s name).

After that, I asked for some feedback from some regular customers. There were many opinions. They said that they were satisfied with the new themes, quick loading, upselling and cross selling….

I ‘d like to share you some plugins that I think they were really necessary for every woocommerce websites,

  1. Woo Multi Currency:

The plugin allows converting currencies. It is really useful and helps me save a lot of time.  It also updates exchange rate automatically. Before uploading this plugin, I had to pay an amount of money through PayPal.

How was the story after that? I did not use Paypal anymore. No matter where my customers come from, they can purchase my beautiful handmade products with ease. I really love this tool

2. WooCommerce Boost Sales- Upsell, Cross-sell products.

I incidentally knew that Amazon reported that in 2006, upselling & cross-selling technique contributed to 35% of their sales. I ignored. After that, one day, I went to the supermarket and I noticed that they gave customers combos which are essentially a kind of cross-selling. Buyers seemed to be really interested in combos. I thought about the news that I read in the day before.  I asked myself: Why don’t I try this kind of marketing in my store? I went to https://codecanyon.net/ to search for a plugin that helps me.

Finally, WooCommerce Boost Sales was the key.

With WooCommerce Boost Sales, I can adjust upselling and cross-selling products. Fortunately, if customers used to buy one product before, they often buy more than one product now.

3.  WooCommerce Product Builder

This is a new tool that I bought a couple of days ago. I am really impressed by the user-friendly features. With this plugin, my customers can effortlessly add numerous products into categories to build a full product set. Besides, the plugin also allows customers to filter product by attributes such as price, colors, size and other features.

4. WooCommerce Notification

WooCommerce Notification is considered as a pop-up which shows the recent order. This does not only make the website more attractive but also stimulate customers’ to purchase more products.

Are you in the situation as I used to be? So, what are you waiting for?

Good Luck!
