Bug unable to add sale price

After I suspect recent WooCommerce updates this plugin results in attempts to add a sale price in WooCommerce Products failing to take effect. When the product is updated the sale price disappears and will not display.

It has been necessary to disable this plugin to enable sale prices to be edited or added.
