Call sidecart from header icon?

Hi Guys,

Is there any way to call the sidecart from the header? Currently my theme has an icon in the header that directs to /cart/ but I would prefer to open the sidecart. Any ideas?

‘Assign page’ and ‘Class ID’ features in the sidebar cart menu settings dont seem to work.

Is there a shortcode to display an icon that links to the sidecart?
