Checkout: changing country doesn’t change currency only amount

I have geolocation properly configured and the currency is switched to correct user country.
The problem is when the client change their country on the checkout. The prices get updated but the currency symbol stays the same (the one from geo location). The geolocation should be overriden by country checkout setting, but it’s not.

I use Stripe.
