Clarification Needed for “Exclude on-sale products” Setting in WooCommerce Plugin

I am using your WooCommerce plugin and have a question regarding the “Exclude on-sale products” setting, which is described in the documentation as follows: “Enable this option if you don’t want to sync price while a product is on sale.”

However, I am uncertain about what this setting actually does. Currently, I notice that when importing products from AliExpress that are on sale, the sale price is still being imported instead of the regular price.

Could you please clarify:

What exactly happens when this option is enabled?
Does this setting prevent the sale price from being imported at all, or does it only affect the synchronization of prices for products already listed in my WooCommerce store?

Additionally, if this function is not intended to import products without the sale price but only to manage price synchronization for products already on sale, how can I ensure that products are always imported with the regular price instead of the sale price from AliExpress?
