Clear Filter Question

Hello there, i just wonder what reason has the Option in Plugin Settings named “Clear Filter”? Clear Session works fine and its a very good option, some customers who create pc configurations after they add the parts to cart, the pc builder plugin delete the whole selected steps, but some of them wants to change it, so they simply go back, very nice setting.

Then i tested the Clear Filter, but i dont see any effects. What does this Option exactly so i may test it and know, do i need that or not.
