Coupon is sent after Double Opt e-mail

Hi guys and thank you for this awesome plugin!
We have a slight problem with the plugin. The discount coupon is sent before the user confirms the subscription via Mailchimp double opt-in. In Europe, the law makes us use the double opt-in method when a new user subscribes to our newsletter.
Please let me know how we can fix this issue.
