Downloaded the plugin but its not authorising connection with the chrome extension

I downloaded the plugin and added it to my wordpress. I also downloaded the chrome extension on my chrome. When i try to authenticate the chrome extension, I get a pop window to log in to my woocommerce and approve, which I do. However it is not authenticating. Do i need to have a paid version for this to work?
