Elimination of product variations

Hi,
When I import products there are variations that I am not interested in showing in my store, for example some keyboards whose key layout is Russian, Romanian, etc. and I only want to import those that are US or Spanish
Can I delete the variations of the product that do not interest me on the import page and this will not cause me problems in my store for deleting those variations?
