sebinho16ParticipantSITUATION:
I recently purchased the Multicurrency Plugin, and I’m having a bit of trouble with it.
I have 2 payment gateways. I have set them up as follows:
• Wompi: Only works for people in my country (COLOMBIA) and only works with my currency (COP)
• PayU: I set it to work with any purchases made outside my country and to always use USD as the currency.I just had my first international order and had problems with it.
The user reported that she tried purchasing but was met with the following error: “Sorry the Minimum allowed order total is 1500 to use this Payment Method.” (She only had the chance to use PayU as Wompi is not present on the front end for international users.)
I tried contacting PayU support, but they told me everything seems fine on their end and that their minimum allowed order for my account is 3 USD.
This customer was trying a 6 USD purchase, so the error doesn’t make sense on their end and that I should talk to you.
DEBUGGING ON MY SIDE:
In order to replicate the error that my user reported:
1. I used a VPN and changed my location to Costa Rica (Any country should work).I tried purchasing and was faced with the same error.
I gave my user the option to pay in my currency, so she could make the transaction. Only this way, the transaction was able to go through. However, this is not ideal and is precisely the reason I purchased this plugin in the first place.
My questions are:
Why is this error happening, and how can I make PayU work?
Why was the error triggered when she was paying in USD, but worked correctly when she paid in COP?Thanks for the help!
