Get Crossells from existing products without creating grouped products.

Hi. I was playing around with the Boost Sales Plugin.
Actually, we only got the plugin to display crossells on product detail level. nothing more.

Question. Do we have to use the plugin interface or can we just use the existing product crossell info.
Question. I did click on the synch. button and it created a bunch of new products labeled grouped product or something.
How is that preventable?

We really only want to display existing crossells on product details view underneath the upsells.
