Image variation for attributes not displaying on product page

I have updated image variation for my attributes under Variation tab (in Variable Product). However, on product page, these images do not appear. But when clicked, these images appear on the bigger product image display.

FYI, I have removed all the images for this attribute under the Global Attribute.

How do I show instead the images I have uploaded for Variation tab under Variable Product? (so that what you see, is what will appear on the product image display when clicked)
