individual attribute items amount for different attributes in product list

Hi,

is there a way to set “Maximum attribute items” in “Swatches on Product List” individually for different attributes?

For example I would love to show maximum 3 attribute items for variation “color” and then the “plus link” should appear.
And I would like to set no limit for the attribute “size”.

At the moment it seems that the value always sets every attribute.

It would be great for me, as I put the attribute items for “color” to another position where it has limited space whereas the attribute “size” has a position where it doesn´t matter how many are shown.

That would be really awesome!
