Out of stock “blur with icon” not working

Hi there,

I’ve chosen the “blur with icon” design option to display out of stock variations. It is working well (I’ve changed the colour using custom css, is there actually a setting for this somewhere?).

However, I would like to change my Woocommerce inventory setting (Woocommerce>Settings>Products>Inventory)

Out of stock visibility: Hide out of stock items from the catalog to OFF.

However, when I do so, the cross (aka blur with icon) does not appear for out of stock variations. The customer has to click on the icon to see that the variation is out of stock. Basically all the “pseudo ::after element” code disappear.

Is there a way to both display out of stock items in catalog AND have the out of stock variations ‘blur with icon’ cross still display?
