Predefined values in radio buttons

Hello,

I would like one of the available in stock variation of my product to be automatically checked on my products so that the radio button appears checked for the user from the beginning. How can this be accomplished?

For example a product has variations S, M, L
I want one of these variations to be checked by default.
(If a variation is out of stock then it can not be checked by default)
