product update freezes after a while

Hi when i try to do a product update it never completes and freezes after a couple of hundred . I have tried to do it as api auto update and manual update and it always does it . I do have 32k products and wondered if there is any issues with the plugin itself or is it because of the number of products in my store. If i individually sync products then it works via sync with chrome extension or api so i wondered if it is because of the number of products is there a way i can maybe set it up so i can restrict how many update per day because at the moment there are alot of products where they have not updated price and often are less sale price than purchase price from aliexpress.
