Two Problems on Site running Flatsome theme

Hi… i just got your plugin which looks great but i am having a few problems getting it to work like the one on your demo site.

1) if i set the default setting to anything it works ok, from those settings, but if i try to override the settings in any products to be
a) a different option or
b) a different value ….it just ignores those settings.

Am i missing some important button somewhere, i have been through your documents and cant see any way to make it work. is this somthing you have encounterd?
