Adding an extra gift product to an order

Hi,
I want to add a small gift to orders, which would also be from Aliexpress.

I have a few questions about this:

1. Do you have a recommended method to do this?

2. Can I just add the item manually to the cart when using the extension for fulfilling the order?

3. If I add the item manually and place the order, does the extension still register is as a fulfilled order?
