category and brand in cross sell bundles

I found when products are bundled in cross-sell, the brand is no longer a part of the bundle.

For example, i run promos and i exclude some particular brands, when the cross-sell products are bundled, the main product brand tag is no longer in the bundle and promo is applied.

Can these attributes be automatically carried over or will I need to manually re-add the brands and other categories into the new product bundles?
