Changing currency

Hi, I have an issue with chaning currecy.
i selected dollars as currency and i took the item to my basket.
and then i removed it from the basket.
i back gain selected pounds as currency, and then i took the item to the baskter and tried to pay.
and in the checkout page, the currency is still for $.
how to fix this issue?
