Color Seperator seleciton changes not reflecting on product page

When I select the “hard line diagonal left” (or any other option really) in the general attributes “colour” settings – the actual product page on my site still shows just the “basic horizontal setting.”

I’ve made sure it’s saved and changing the setting to something else – but still nothing is changing what’s actually being reflected on the live site.
I’ve attached images to help visualise the problem.

What would be causing this?
