coupon box interface with abandon cart

If I have coupon box installed and the customer enters information for the coupon does this email address transfer for the abandon cart popup and how does that look?

For instance,

Customer enters email into coupon box:
Does the popup for abandon cart still popup on add to cart click? If it does still popup, is it pre-filled with the email address?

Customer cancels the coupon box without filling out:
I would assume the abandon cart would operate as normal
