Cross Sales don’t detect products

I have a custom product type called competitions. It’s from a plugin called woolottery.

I wanted to use this plugin to cross sell more tickets, but unfortunatley the plugin can’t seem to see them on the cross sell section.

It seems to be able to pick them up on the frequently bought/upsell though, but i wanted this for the cross sell feature.

is there something I’m doing wrong, if not, can I apply for a refund as without this feature the plugin is of no use to me.
