Custom css for links

Hello, all of your text links (active, after click on them) are white; you are mostly use them on the dark blue background. When I change the background from dark blue to white and text to black, clicking to link changes its color to white (so it virtually disappears). How to make the css to have a a.active black? Usually I do not have problems with overwriting css, but here it simple doesn’t work.
