Download/Activate plugin: Why can’t I install/upload/activate plugins?

This guide shows you how to download and install VillaTheme plugins from CodeCanyon.

DOWNLOAD
Go to https://codecanyon.net/downloads to download your plugin installable file. Select the plugin you want to install, click on the Download button and select to download load the “Installable WordPress file only“.
*If you choose to download “All files & documentation”, you need to unzip that file to find the “Installable WordPress file”

Important: If the file upload contains something like this in the file name: “codecanyon-********”

Then it’s the general instead of the plugin package.  Try extracting that general package and find the plugin zip file. E.g. The plugin file name should be: wordpress-lucky-wheel.zip instead of codecanyon-FtaGJnCs-wordpress-lucky-wheel.zip; or woocommerce-lookbook.zip instead of codecanyon-piOI4Uae-woocommerce-lookbook-shoppable-with-product-tags.zip

INSTALL
Go to your Dashboard/ Plugins/ Add New to install the plugin using the Installable WordPress file. Click Upload Plugin, select the installable file, install and finally activate it.

*If you have the free version of the plugin installed, you are free to delete it. All your settings will be kept.
