We’re experiencing critical inconsistencies with currency conversions specifically on the cart and checkout pages of our WooCommerce store.

    Observed Behavior:

    Currencies affected by erratic conversion:

    Japanese Yen (JPY)

    New Taiwan Dollar (NTD)

    Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)

    Currencies converting correctly or unaffected:

    Canadian Dollar (CAD)

    US Dollar (USD)

    Australian Dollar (AUD)

    British Pound (GBP)

    Euro (EUR)

The issue appears to be localized to cart and checkout views only. Product pages and other sections of the site reflect accurate exchange rates.

    Additional Issue with FedEx Plugin:

Plugin: WooCommerce FedEx Shipping Plugin with Print Label

Problem: JPY shipping rates are converting at seemingly arbitrary and incorrect rates, significantly misaligned with real-time exchange data.

This raises concerns about the currency conversion logic being applied either inconsistently or incorrectly during API calls and calculations, particularly in high-volatility currencies or zero-decimal ones.

    Steps Already Taken:

Verified that the base currency and exchange rate settings are properly configured.

Cleared cache, transient data, and recalculated rates.

No custom currency logic is applied on the frontend.

    Request:

    Please investigate:

Why only JPY, NTD, and HKD are behaving inconsistently in cart/checkout.

Whether the FedEx plugin is using an outdated or incorrect exchange rate source for shipping estimates.

If there’s a workaround, patch, or updated version to address this inconsistency across zero-decimal currencies.

This is a high-priority issue impacting customer confidence and checkout performance. We need a resolution or escalation path as soon as possible.
