is my license Legit or I need to buy a new one

Hi,
so I hired someone to build my site and he used your plugin “Product Builder Premium” to add a PC Builder section as I requested, but I noticed that am not receiving updates from your end (current version 2.0.8), and when I looked at update setting in the plugin there is NO “Auto Update Key” (Empty).
So I would like to know if the plugin am using is LEGIT, and how can I start receive the updates
note 1: I asked the developer about it and he told me that he own an “Extended License” so its legit and he disabled the updates so that no conflict will happen with other plugins!.
note 2: if you confirm to me that this is an illegal copy , I will do buy a License from you.
