Issue with refund amount showing incorrectly in woocommerce analytics/report

We’re using the Woo Multi Currency plugin on our WooCommerce store and have run into something a bit confusing with how refunds are appearing in WooCommerce analytics.
When an order is placed in a different currency (for example EUR,USD or JPY) and we issue a refund, the refund shows incorrect amount in WooCommerce analytics.
Example:
~44,623.88 JPY refund appears as 44,623.88 GBP in Analytics instead of approximately ~217 GBP equivalent.

From what we understand, the correct behaviour would be for WooCommerce analytics to convert refund amounts into the store’s base currency using the appropriate exchange rate, rather than directly summing values from different currencies.

We are also referring to the following CURCY – WooCommerce Multi Currency – Currency Switcher changelog/support statements regarding WooCommerce Analytics compatibility:
2.1.8 – 2020.01.02
“Updated: Add compatibility with WooCommerce reports”

“Updated: Order stats from other currencies are converted to default currency in WooCommerce Analytics (revenue/orders)”
“Added: View report in other currencies”

“For WooCommerce Reports, or Analytics function, we make CURCY converts all to the default currency.”

So to clarify, we are not requesting a new feature related to changing default currencies or filtering analytics by currency.
Our concern is that the existing WooCommerce Analytics conversion/reporting functionality mentioned above does not appear to be working correctly for refunds in our case.

Could you please look into this and fix.
