Loading steps with AJAX

Hello,

Is there an easy way or a snippet to actually load steps with AJAX ? When the user selects a product, it is added to the sidebar and the products in the products tab are replaced by the next tab products without reloading the page.

PS: I have some coding basics, I just want to know how to achieve this.
