Multi Currency not showing correct default currency for approximate price

My default currency is South African Rand, but since updating to the latest version of Multi-Currency, the approximate price being shown in the product pages defaults to USD rather than ZAR, rendering the plugin useless, as the check-out currency has to ZAR and all other currencies are just for indicative purposes. Is this a bug or a setting?
